Shark at Swami’s Beach

About Swami’s Beach: Swami’s Beach is an internationally recognized surf spot at the southern tip of Encinitas. It is named after Swami Paramahansa Yogananda because the grounds and hermitage of the Self-Realization Fellowship Center (built in 1937) overlook this beach. The beach has a very small parking lot and street parking. To access the water, there is a long wooden staircase leading down the cliff to a sandy beach.
