Escondido’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks – July 4, 2011
Escondido’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks will take place at Grape Day Park at 321 N. Broadway near downtown Escondido.
There will be plenty of free entertainment, including magicians, baton twirlers, musical performances, children’s arts projects, contests, and fireworks. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Bring a picnic and blanket. The event begins at 4:00 p.m. and continues until 9:30 p.m. High back chairs, alcohol, pets, and barbecues are not permitted.
The Independence Day celebration and fireworks sponsors include SDG&E, GEICO, and the Linden Root Dickinson Foundation.
On an interesting note, one of our agents, Dennis Bates, is a pyro-technician and will be working on the fireworks at La Jolla Cove. That fireworks display on La Jolla Cove will begin at 9:00 p.m.—if you are interested and happen to be on the coast.
