Smart-home devices such as voice assistants, thermostats, doorbells, door key-codes, televisions, and other smart appliances continues to increase. As the number of smart-home devices continues to increase so does the probability of hacks.
Check out these tips from security experts on how to avoid your smart home hack:

Always change the default password that allows devices to be accessed for initial set-up.
Choose a complicated password, like a string of unrelated words, numbers, and special characters.
Regularly update the software that runs on your devices.
Make sure your home router is also secured with strong password and that software is up to date.
