Who’s buying homes these days?

Are you buying homes? Who do you think are buying homes nowadays? Buying your house is both a financial and emotional decision that involves many factors. For most home buyers purchasing a home is one of the largest financial transactions they will make. We all have different reasons when buying our home: downsizing, growing family, changing jobs or job locations, and moving to be near to family among other things. Interestingly most buyers are married couples that comprise 65% of the market. Buyers are generally 45 years old and order. Surprisingly, 18% of buyers are single females, as compared to male buyers at 7 percent. 8 percent of buyers are unmarried couples. Also, first-time buyers make up of 34% of all home buyers. At 30 percent, the desire to own a home of their own is the primary reason why buyers purchased a home in 2017.
