Temecula is a city in southwestern Riverside County, California. It was incorporated on December 1, 1989. Temecula is bordered by Murrieta on the northwest and the Pechanga Indian Reservation on the south. Temecula forms the southwestern anchor of the Inland Empire region. It is almost equidistant to San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County, California. Temecula is well known for its championship golf courses, its beautiful hot air ballooning adventures, and the award-winning wineries nestled in the picturesque wine country.
