The community of Fire Mountain in Oceanside is located in North San Diego County, just 35 miles north of the city of San Diego. Fire Mountain is well known for its proximity to local beaches, its temperate climate, and because it is near both the Camp Pendleton Military Base and the San Luis Rey Mission.
The community of Fire Mountain Oceanside is located east of Interstate 5 and north of Highway 78. It is a hop, skip and a jump from the beach and many Fire Mountain homes have ocean or partial ocean views.
